the $60 Disney day

Part of the reason we were in Florida was so that JD could work.  The rest of us tagged along with him to Orlando on one of the days (spur of the moment decision) and had a blast!
Ty spent the day at the AAU National Tournament with JD and loved it:
(Even got to go to the bathroom with John Calipari {ew.})
JD and Halle at the same tourney 6 years ago:
Halle, Cate, Isaac and I (and our friends) spent the day at Downtown Disney shopping, playing, and having a good (if hot) time.
Sometimes I cringe at how big Halle is:
 Snacks!
Isaac did a lot of this:
Halle's Disney nap 6 years ago:
There actually are lots of free things to do at Disney World.
Digging for dino bones:
 Building at the Lego store:
 Free Ghirdelli chocolate!  :)
 Picking a charm souvenir:
We picked up the boys when their games were done and headed back to Downtown Disney to play a little more.
6 years ago with Halle:

We ended up eating a quick (but surprisingly good) meal at the Contemporary Resort- we laughed at that name all night- before jumping on the Monorail.  The kids LOVED riding the train.  :)    We watched the fireworks from the Polynesian Resort and happened to catch part of Rapunzel that was playing outdoors on the "beach."  The train ride back to the car was full of belly-laughing (read: TIRED parents.)

For a last-minute, non-planned out, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants Disney trip with EIGHT children, it was a HUGE success!  And we got a kick out the idea that we were having so much fun for next to nothing, while the people walking around us (not smiling) were pondering the amount of savings they were throwing away!  Ha!  :)
