Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!!

Can you see Isaac's face?  Not happy.  He wakes up saying "eat, eat, eat!"  The detour away from the kitchen made him MAD.  Ha!

Ty loves a song that goes "Oh, I stuck my head in a little skunk's hole, and the little skunk said 'Well bless my soul! Take it out!  Take it out!  Take it out!  Remove it!'"

He loves this little guy.  He has named it "Stunk" and it sleeps with him (and sprays anyone who comes too close!)

Finally, Isaac found something to make him happy:

Food!

The only other thing that grabbed his attention after he pulled the snacks from his stocking was the football that Ty opened.  He kept yelling "Ball! Ball!" (He opened his own football after that.) 

Cate's reaction to her roller skates:  (She was happy.) 

Ty's "new" Smart Cycle has been a huge hit! 

(It's actually a really great hand-me-down!)

 Reading one of the new books before bed:

Unlike past years, this Christmas break we have a long stretch at home- and it is so nice!  We all (except Isaac) spent all day in our pajamas- nowhere to be, no one to see... it was wonderful.   :)  Before naps, I asked Ty if he wanted to put his clothes on.  His answer was "NO WAY.  I am way too cozy."  Ha!

Although we wish we could see the Martin/Colyer side of the family, it was actually good that we planned not to travel to Iowa- we would have turned straight around (to attend Papa's funeral.)
